New improved front site layout

The new version comes now with an improved and more user and information friendly layout.
It has new search form, new sections (to browse jobs by location and company), icons for sharing the content in facebook and twitter, see the rss and atom feeds and google +1 button.
As always the front site is template based, so it's up to the administrator to customize it or change the design with another one he prefers.


Facebook Connect

The facebook connect and sign up feature allows the jobseekers to create their accounts by skipping the default registration procedure - they just need to confirm their password. The other information is taken from their facebook profile after clicking on the Facebook Login button and authorize the application.
The easier registration means more users and more possibilities for the employers to find the right candidate for their job openings ...


New search form

A new main search form has been added having 3 main sections - simple search, advanced search and a history of the recent searches. The users can switch quickly between them by just clicking on the links and without reloading of the page.
The simple search is more user friendly, now having also with predictive location search.
The "recent searches" allows to repeat quickly again previously done searches.


Indexing of the content of the uploaded files by the jobseekers

One main disadvantage in the previous versions was that the content of the files uploaded by the jobseekers weren't indexed - this means that it wasn't possible for the employers to search in them when using the Search function on the Jobseekers tab in their admin space.
With the new functionality added, the content of the uploaded PDF, DOCX (Microsoft Word), ODT (Open Office) and RTF is indexed and searchable, this allowing the employers to find easily the right candidates.


Video resumes

This new feature allows the jobseekers to upload a video resume. The video resumes are shown after when an employer opens the jobseeker's profile, using the search functionality on the Jobseekers tab in the employers admin panel.
The video resume offers an additional possibility for the jobseekers to better describe their profile and the type of role they are seeking ...


Home page with new sections on it

The home page in the new version has been redone to make the searching and browsing the job offers easier.
The home page has now 3 main job browse sections - jobs by category, by location and by company. The users may switch between them by simply clicking on the corresponding tabs and without reloading of the entire page. Also there is a new section shows the latest jobs and 2 others, the featured jobs and featured employers.


Improvements in the jobseekers resume database browse and search

The layout of the browse page shows now more information for the jobseeker, so the employer can easily take a decision if he would like to see (or save) the full resume of the jobseeker (and be charged for that, according to the pricing set by the administrator).


Multi level locations

In previous versions, the location field was just one level, so it was possible for example to put just the list of cities in one country.
Many of our customers wanted to be able to define multi level locations like different countries with different cities etc. , so we added this feature in the new version.
The new functionality allows now to define multi level locations, like Country -> State -> City -> Neighborhood. AJAX location select field with predictive writing on the front site.


Video presentations for the companies

This new feature allows the employers to upload a video presenting their company - the videos can be seen after on the page showing the jobs posted by the company. The video presentation could be also an additional way to better present the company and the type of employees it may need.


Improved banners functionality

The banners are now automatically re-sized to fit the banner size as set by the administrator for the selected banner area. So the users are free to upload whatever banner sizes they wish which will fit then in the correct size (in difference of the previous version where the user has to upload his banners in the exact size as set for the banner area).


Easier configuration

In previous versions a lot of our customers had troubles to configure their portals and edit the configuration file (to change for example the currency shown on their website or the paypal account they would like to use to accept payment etc.)
That's why in the new version, we made possible all these settings to be managed directly from the admin panel and the new "Configuration Options" page there.


Possibility to add directly a resume by uploading a file

In previous versions there was a possibility for the jobseeker to create his resume online by using a rich text editor or to use the resume editor with which he was supposed to fill different fields (like previous employers, education etc.).


Functionality to charge the jobseekers

We had customers who wanted instead of charging the employers, to allow them to post jobs for fee, but charge the jobseekers when applying for jobs. This wasn't possible with the previous version, so we added the new feature in the latest version.
So it's up to the administrator to choose which group of users he would like to charge or run an entirely free website.


New layout of the admin panel

The layout of the admin panel has been improved - it's now wider, with new icons and some changes in the pages in order to better structure the user interface for the administrator.


Alertpay

A new payment option - alertpay has been added. The payment options coming by default are already paypal, 2checkout, authorize.net, alertpay, cheques and bank wire. We are available to add also other payment options on request.


New admin panel features

Some new pages have been added in the admin panel like pages to monitor the jobs applications and uploaded files.
Also pages allowing to export and import job ads directly from the admin panel (previously this was possible only from the employers admin space).


Major new features added in v2.0!
  • Bulk import / export job ads functionality for the employers - makes possible to bulk import and list job ads stored in an external file. System for charging the employers when they bulk import / list new ads
  • Employers sub accounts - advanced functionality allowing the employers to define multiple sub accounts under their account and assign them different access permissions. For example the employer can create a separate sub account for a person in the company dealing with the job applications, another person responsible for the billing and invoices etc.
  • Functionality to define custom fields for the job ads - it makes possible to add new fields directly from the admin panel, no modification of php sources is required. This allows to customize faster the website by adding new and specific for a given country or industry sector job fields.
  • Invoices generation for the employer purchases (the invoices are exported in .pdf format)
  • Front site pages caching system - the content of the pages is exported and stored as static html files on the server. The next time a visitor of the website opens the same page, the content is directly taken from the file, no sql queries are executed - this allows to decrease a lot the number of mysql queries being executed and increase considerably the performance of heavy loaded websites. The cache expire time can be set by the administrator in the configuration file.
  • More advanced and improved templating system, possibility to define templates for the home page, login form and others - this makes easier the integration of custom and more complex website templates.
  • SEO improvements - keywords in the pages title and meta tags, page urls looking like static html pages
  • Security improvements - new security techniques used to protect the web application and users data
  • Possibility for forwarding the private messages exchanged by the users to their emails
  • Adding new languages has been made easier from the back end
  • New employers credits purchase history in the employers admin space
  • Functionality to define custom fields for the employers and jobseekers profiles - no need already to make modifications in the php sources, the new fields can be added with ease from the back end.
  • Jobseekers application history - the jobseekers can see already their application history (status of the application, reply of the employer and others) from their admin space.
  • Easier to use and improved interface for the administrators to manage the website structure
  • Improvements of the job alerts functionality, job category field added
  • Parameterization of multiple fields like job type, education level and others - makes possible to easily modify the possible values or add new ones by modifying an external file holding the current values.
  • Save the jobseekers resumes in .pdf - when using the resumes search functionality in the employers admin space
  • Improved RSS job feeds, better multi language support

Jobseekers

Online resume creator
  • the jobseeker has a choice between a detailed resume creator (the jobseeker is supposed to fill multiple fields, information for his education and work history, spoken languages and others) and rich text resume editor
  • using the resume creator instead of the rich text resume editor is recommended because the employers have a better chance to find the resume - the different fields in the resume will be searchable
Email notification alerts
  • the jobseekers can define multiple email notification alerts
  • as soon as there is a new job ad posted, matching the jobseeker email alert, an email notification will be sent to the jobseeker
Profile, job preference
  • management of his profile (personal information, picture)
  • define job preferences (desired region, job category etc.)
Statistics
  • the jobseeker can see statistics showing how many times his resume has been displayed and others
Documents
  • the jobseeker can upload documents - resumes, references and others (the allowed type, size and maximum number is set by the administrator)
  • when applying for a job offer, the jobseeker can select which from his documents will be visible for the employer when reviewing his job application
Guest applications
  • not registered jobseekers can apply for job offers (if this is allowed by the administrator, setting in the configuration file)
  Employers

Paid (free) services that can be offered to the employer:
  • post job ads
  • make selected job ads featured (they appear on top of the search results and appear with yellow background)
  • upload job banners in different banner areas (the banner areas, their position, size of the banners and their price is set by the administrator) - the banners can be linked to the current job ads of the employer or an external link
  • browse the database with the jobseeker resumes (the administrator can set a price for this service, per one resume opening)
Credits system for charging the employers
  • the credits system makes easier for the employer to use the paid services on the website because he doesn't have to be redirected to an external website (like paypal or another) when he would like to pay for the services. The employer just need to buy the appropriate number of credits and then use them when posting ads, browsing the resumes etc.
Job Applications
  • manage the jobseekers applications online
  • approve/reject applications, records of the approved/rejected applications
Profile, Contact persons
  • manage the company profile and information, upload logo (which is visible on the pages showing the employer job ads)
  • define multiple contact persons, every contact person could be responsible for a different job offer
Jobseekers resume search
  • search in the database with jobseekers resumes
  • the administrator can set price for browsing the resumes
